Nicholas Harper is the owner of the Rogue Buddha Gallery in Northeast Minneapolis. We met when Jennifer Tetter was hosting a series of poetry readings there. Nicholas is a dedicated and talented artist in his own right, specializing in spooky landscapes and weird women with long necks. He explains himself in the video.
Lately Nicholas has been teaching a monthly Rogue Open Paint Night in oils. My granddaughter, Marielle, is going for a Fine Arts degree at Normandale so she and I and her friend, Brandon, made a night of it with dinner at Mayslack's We all had fun although the first artist here ended up with something like a 5 year-old with finger paints would do.
